Dialysis patients endure long hours of treatments multiple times a week, which is a very draining process for the individual undergoing the dialysis treatment as well as their family members. We seek to provide a sense of empathy & community support.

“Having cared for a dear one through the demanding process of dialysis for many years, I was moved to establish Friends of Dialysis. Dialysis can be an isolating and draining experience. Through this organization, my team and I seek to draw upon our personal journeys and creativity to offer support to our community. Our mission is to provide opportunities for education and compassion, fostering connections that transcend the challenges of dialysis. With Friends of Dialysis, we aim to create a space where empathy thrives, bringing solace and camaraderie to those on the dialysis journey.”

Friends of Dialysis was founded at the University of California, Riverside by a group of passionate and empathetic students whose passion lies in service and health education.
